Sunday School

Sunday School is in session

We are happy to inform you that we offer the following opportunities for education at LOG on Sunday Mornings during the 9:30 education hour.

There are 2 adult classes. One meets in the conference room and the other meets in Fellowship hall. Please contact the church office for more information.

Junior High Classes (grades 6, 7 and 8th) will be meeting in the last classroom under the guidance of Jeff Fitch. They will be studying different topics throughout the year. The first topic is "Who is this Dude called JESUS?" Please contact Wendy Frank or Jeff Fitch if you have any questions.

The 3 through 5th grades will be learning some key Bible stories. Now that we have learned about Creation, our first story will be Adam and Eve. This series will take us to the Lent season where we will once again learn about the Resurrection through Butterflies. High School students are encouraged to help us with the Sunday School session and crafts! Anyone interested in teaching or attending the Sunday School classes please contact Wendy Frank.

Kids Chat

Kids chat is held during 2nd service for children who have a hard time sitting through the sermon. They are excused to go with a leader to have a short lesson in the fellowship hall. This lesson will be reinforcing what they learned in Sunday School that day. This is primarily geared towards ages 3 through grades 4. Anyone interested in helping with kids chat on a once/month schedule please contact Wendy Frank.

Confirmation Classes

Confirmation will resume January 10th at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. The parents of the students are to prepare and enjoy a meal with the whole confirmation class that day. It is Lord of Grace's turn to provide the meal. Students are reminded that they are to be taking sermon notes each Sunday. You are asked to turn in 3 of the forms each month. The forms will be available on the table as you enter the sanctuary. If you have any questions, please contact Wendy Frank.

Confirmation Student Duties & Responsibilities
1. The confirmation students will be providing the acolyte duties from now on at the 2nd service. There are 4 students so each will have one Sunday per month. I will assign you a Sunday and if you are unable to make it, please contact me and I will change it.
2. Students should also contact Carolyn Bernheim to see how to get signed up to particpate as lectors and ushers. This is also a part of your agreement/contract with Confirmation. I will be providing each of you with a monthly calendar with your times to acolyte and other confirmation things. You can write in what you did extra and have it signed by the person supervising that area. The calendar and sermon notes should be handed to me the last Sunday of each month.
3. Please remember that you are to participate in 3 Service activities this year. Two of them can be within your church, but one must be for an organization outside of your church. If you have questions or need ideas, please contact Wendy Frank. 682-5555, or 954-0354.

First Communion Class

This class will be held for children ages 7 and up who are interested in learning about and taking Holy Communion. This is a one time class held in the month of September at Lord of Grace. The children will then accept their first communion the next Sunday after the class. If you have a child or have any questions about this class, please contact the church office.
